    Pumps, powerheads, etc generate heat too...
    turn your ac down, and you'll get a cooler tank

    lmao ya thats a no go, i guess 78 is a good temp. Not trying to have a 200 buck electric bill, wifey already complaining since its gone up 40 bucks cuz of the tank. Im thinking its like this since its summer, lol ill proll ybe battling the cold in winter. God I love virginia, hot summer cold winters!

    My tank is always 5 degrees warmer then the house. So I keep my AC 5 degrees lower then I want my tank and it stays perfect. But since you dont want a big electric bill I would suggest possibly turning your lights on later in the day and more into the night and off more of the morning when its warming up.

    My tank went to 84.. a day later Xenia melted. Lost a 7x6 patch of it. 84 is no good.. in my situation any way. I keep the tank at 78 usually.. so it was a shock to everything.
