Sounds like a tornado in a tank!!! ;D

I definitely do a lot of pointing PHs in different directions just to see what they will do. Still haven't gotten to the wavemaker but the tank is young and time will tell!! 8)

That's the idea Drew with pointing the power heads in different directions. If you are talking an sps tank.... You definately want a higher flow rate than a softie tank. But you really are looking for random flow with no dead spots. I sorta look for a slow boil in my tank. In my 20 long I have added a 3rd maxijet on a natural wave strip timer. I'm in the process of adding a scwd to the return pump. Hopefully between the squid and the wave timer strip it will keep things more random and mixed up. Sort of opposing power heads that can create current back and fourth from one side to the other but never exactly the same.
    Scott :)

I have 2 Tunze units with the multi controller...that way, I can add more powerheads later ;D  Just got them and WOW    What a difference from my 3 randomly placed PH's that, as my hubby puts it, "looks like a**"! (self censoring BTW!)
You can have them alternate current, I have them set on a naural wave. It is like a swell, one starts low, goes slowly higher, the second one starts low, gets gradually higher....on down the line if you have several. Then they gear down, and start over ;D
