I feel that you can easily get in this hobby on low budget, hell look at me! I got my RODI unit 1 whole year after putting my first fish in! The thing was, over one year i dropped 70 bux or so on fresh water and dechlorinaters. The RODI,even if it isnt the best, will eventually pay for itself in a year or so.

Im getting that valve today hopefully. Yesterday my buddy came over and went trout fishing. Havent seen him in two months cause he works all the time....... (Yeah and hes only 15). We caught i nice brook trout for such a small creek :p oh and a sunfish :laughing0!

Will update when i get it set up. So far it all looks solid, came with a everything BUT a faucet diverter valve. the way they want you to set it up is to drill holes to your faucet feed and drain. But since my tank faucet is in the laundry room, i can run the waste water to the drain, (Like in the hole in the sink, not into the side of the pipe) and the feed can be switched from faucet to RODI.

Its not really hard. What they want me to do is drill a hole in the pipe that goes to the faucet (One with pressure) and put a kind of clamp on it that has a flex pipe barb on it. That goes to RODI. Then another hole is drilled in the drain pipe, and the waste water goes there. But i dont want to drill no pipes. Plus. i can turn the RODI unit OFF when im not using it :p

One of these. You can switch from flow to faucet or RO tubing ;)

Faucet diverter valves i believe. Like 5 bucks at Home Depot. Make sure you get the right size and threading though.
