So when I was at walmart abouth 2 months ago I came across a product called Water Weld. It is an epoxy putty that you cut and mix together just like any other putty you can get for attaching frags or connecting live rock, and it was only 5 bucks. I did alot of research online and tried to find as much info about it as far as being reef safe. the info I read was promising enough to me to try it out. I used it to attach a rock with some zoas on it to my rockwork, it began to harden after about 10 minuts and my skimmer only acted up for a few hours. after it hardend completely I tried to pull the frag off the rock and couldnt get it off because it had such a good hold. I then went and picked up a thing of Aquastik from my lfs for 14 bucks to compare it to the waterweld. first off my skimmer had to be shut off for 3 to 4 days because everytime I turned it on my collection cup would fill up with water, and after it hardend around the frag I attached to my rock, I gave it a little wiggle and the frag along with the putty fell off onto the sand. So as far as Im concerned, I will be sticking with WaterWeld from now on. I have never had any negative affects with my water, coral or fish from it and its only 5 bucks. Does anybody else use waterweld? Or have any problems with it?

You can buy epoxy putty from home depot or lowes (plumbing dept), for about 7 bucks for double the size (4 oz)

It's great stuff. I've been using to attach heavier frags for over a year now.

I've squished two full tubes together and done work with all of it at once in my 46 with no effect other than the skimmer acted up a bit for a few hours.
