well i got a question about water.i know its best to use ro/di water but i currently have a home being built with a watersofter and an ro unit being inputted into the piping of the house.now i wonder if that water can be used to fill my future tank. me personally i think so but my biggest fear if there is copper piping in the house from the ro unit to the faucet.so if anyone has expiernce with this or heard of sumthing like this please inform

try to test for hard minerals once it gets installed and go from there, really you wont know anything till you test and if all good go for it. typically copper pipes wont leak from running water unless it sits in there for a period of 7 days or more then it would start to leech out

Will the ro be installed before the copper piping,if so could you tee off of it and run a line for tank use before it goes into the copper lines?

They are starting to use less and less copper when building new houses from what I understand. However, if there is copper piping, I would test the water coming out of the tap for copper.
