hey all, so i just started my new tank, its 40g breeder with 15 gal sump, running 450 gph return with split locline returns, also have 2 koralia evo 550's in there, i need some help with flow placement so that i dont have deadspots or at least minimal, i absolutely HATE them and want none at all short of a wavemaker i think because heard of issues with them killing PH's

[IMG] this the tank, sand is just finishing settling today, as you can see have the 2 powerheads on outside, the return is on the back left, any advice on where to place the flow from different elements would be great help! also am capable of getting another PH if think its needed and will be useful.
tank will be mostly softies / lps

The Evolutions powerheads are specifically designed to be used with a wavemaker or controller so it does not hurt them.

I would place the powerheads on the side glass about where you have them, but aim to bounce them both off the front glass at about dead center. This will create a turbulent zone right where they converge. This should cover the front area of the tank pretty well, so I would also try directing your Loc-Line return outputs to the areas behind the rockwork. This should create steady pressure behind the rocks to help push any debris out and into the main flow of the tank.
