    I have run this for about 8 months before removing it from my tank. It required cleaning on a monthly basis to keep it working, and at the end of 8 months, the plastic gears had worn to the point that it quit working....it was mounted an a MJ 1200....I will not be getting it fixed, nor purchasing another one.

    I've had two and they are great for the money. My first one quit spinning after about 4 months. However, if you actually take it apart and clean it on a regular basis you might get more time out of it.
