Hey everyone, I have a 55 Gallon reef tank and I just purchased 2 wavemakers that put out 1,321 GPH. So its a total of 2,642 GPH. They are set on the left and right side glass up towards the top creating a circular motion.

    My question is,
Is this to much flow? I want it to be capable of supporting just about any coral. That way I dont have to worry about future upgrades due to coral purchases.

Let me know what you all think about the flow. Thanks guys! :)

Sounds about right for sps , you could add more if it is predominately an sps tank but some lps wouldn't be happy unless you hide them in lower flow areas.

Sounds about right. From what was told to me, SPS need 50+ times tank volume (keep in mind your tank doesn't actually have 55 gallons in it with rock and sand).
