    2nd that.

The limitation of adding another powerhead is that the flow direction is constant. Wavemakers are great if they are practical for your system. Small aquariums will have some issues with installing WMers if your plumbing is already set, unless you feel like re-designing your plumbing set-up.

I believ in some situations they will make a huge impact. I have a mixed reef. everything from acros to hammer coral. My MP10 peaks at about 55x tank turnover to keep the sps happy but gives the hammer coral enough rest time to be happy. The other advantage I see is you can very easily change flow by tuning your wavemaker different. This makes it even more chaotic and keeps your coral growing in all directions instead of just growing towards where the flow is always what it wants.

What size tank do you have? I was thinking of getting one to replace all my power heads in my 55. I like the programmable side of it too.

ALL of my inhabitants greatly appreciated the addition of a wavemaker. SPS, LPS, softies, even the fish. I do truly think it was one of the best purchases I have made, hands down.
It does not even need to be an expensive purchase. I have 4 modded maxi jets hooked into the dual JBJ wavemaker, and it works wonderfully.

Its in my 30 gallon. I switch it between making waves, reef crest, and lagoon modes to give the corals different flow.

I have some hydor flo's on maxi jets but looking to reduce the clutter of black boxes and enjoy whats in it. Plus I have a 75 on the other side of the room sitting empty until I return from this deployment. Maybe upgrade everything over to it and take the one pump with it, but I dunno just Idea's.

    Thanks for the responses.
