We call it Shrek!

I bought a piece of rock from a local dealer and after about a week this little green blob started growing. this is what is looks like now about 4 weeks later. I know it a coral but what kind? is it an agressive type? what will it look like after a year or so?

 

Can we get a picture of the specimen in question? It will be quite helpful in the IDing process.

 

I am going with some type of kenya tree. Like this Saltwater Aquarium Corals for Marine Reef Aquariums: Neon Green Palau Nephthea - Aquacultured

It's growing to fast to be a finger leather.

 

I agree, it is a kenya tree or other type of leather coral.

 

Looks like it could be a green sinularia.
