That 100g is nice looking. I like the whole "planted" saltwater look you have going there. It's a nice break from all of the reef tanks. That black foot is amazing looking, definitely my favorite.

    That's awesome Renee!!!

BTW, I put your video of your bearded Ghoul on my LFS's FB page and a bunch of people wanted one. I had to tell them that this isn't exactly a beginner's fish (LOL) but at least the info you provided got to educate some people some.

Everyone wants that ghoul. When we bought this house we had some renovations and what not done. Even peeps who knew nothing about the hobby, would put the brakes on when they saw the tank. I remember when I had that effect on men... sigh... and now it's my fish. I could hear one worker saying to another worker all the things I had told him the day before. I'm lucky I took a chance on a brown fish.

The Ghoul and the adult volitans....... partially thanks to Deuce Bigalow.

I could never keep may tanks as clean as I do without the magic of fast growing macro.

What a beautiful tank! Are any of your fish reef-safe? I find that term to be misleading sometimes. Most cases seem you can keep corals with non-reef-safe fish, but you will have no CuC(not including macro's) without a Fuge?

That's me doing the "stick work" in that vid, BTW ;D, but to answer your question, Scorpaeniformes are great reef tank inhabitants, as they pay no attention to corals at all.

As far as a CUC is concerned, snails and hermits are fine, as are echinoderms. What you can't keep are ornamental shrimp, crabs, lobsters, etc. as these will become dinner.

The possible exceptions might be cleaner shrimp, neon gobies, etc. However, there's no guarantee the cleaner will be recognized as such, at which point it would become food. The best bet is to establish the "cleaner" first, and possibly even separate it with a clear barrier or sink a critter keeper in the tank so it can be seen but not eaten.

+1 on the feeding stick, ive never seen that before! This tank is very amazing, even the city aquariums around my area can't compete with this lionfish display. If I ever become stable enough I would love to have a tank like this as well as a clownfish/anemone tank(not sure if diff clown species can be houses together), a puffer/boxfish tank, and a seahorse/pipefish tank that would all run through a huge mangrove dsb tub. oh and a green house with a sps/lps tank as the center piece
