    I know this is a marine thread but we are thrilled that our female mouthbrooding Malawi Albino Greshakei released her offspring. So far she is being a good mom, scooping them up when she fears a threat and is keeping a good eye on the smaller of the group.

    Thank you, Otty.. Breeding is always a good indicator of water conditions the work involved with 4 tanks always pays off...

    Well, the babies are a couple of weeks old now and it appears that we have 17. They are all doing great, growing at a rapid rate, and from the get go many of them have the typical "cichlid" behavior, chasing eachother around the tank. LOL

    My malawi had babies too i did not scoop them out of the tank and they survived with 6 other adult malawi's i had to tear the tank down in the end because there were like 25 fish in my 44 gallon. after that i switched too saltwater now my tank is cycling.

    congrats on the babies -cichlids are one of my favorite fish
