Just had to put one of my dogs, Sassy, down tonight :-[. Turns out she had cancer deep in her hip (unkown to us), and tonight it broke her hip. I have had her since I was 14. I hope she is in a better place than me now :bawling:

Funny how attached you get to animals that live with you. My wife's cat will be 17 this year and can only see out of one eye. When I asked her father for her hand in marriage he laughed and said "yea, but you have to take the cat". He is a jokester. :)

For as long as I have been with her and our kids don't know life without Mr. Kiddy in the house. Don't know how the kids will take it but it will tear my wife up when he is gone. With his age it won't be too much longer. :-/

So sorry to hear that Pack... I know how you must feel... It's a horrible thing to feel helpless when it comes to a best friend.

You never know Otty. Carmen (Siamese cat) lived to 27. One day she went out and just never came back. She went on her own terms. LOL

I'm sorry for the loss of Sassy. That is so hard to do. When I put down Cheyenne, I actually had a friend fly in from DC to drive me to the vets.

So sorry to hear about your loss! That is the hardest decision to make to have to put an animal down. My thoughts are with you..and yes they are in a better place. When I had to put my Oscar down (My avatar) last year the rescue agency that I got him from sent me a poem called the Rainbow Bridge....I dont know where it is right now..but it is all over the internet. Type that up and read it sometime when you feel up to it!

    Again so sorry

sorry for your loss and I am sure I will have to do the same with my hound soon. He is getting up there but like inwall said he will probably go out on his own terms. hint: Don't watch marily and me right now cause it is really sad
