    Hi all,

Finished curing my liverock, and when I opened the container I found these things sprouting out of a liverock. Anyone know what they are? It doesn't really do anything, just sits there..

    Thanks in advance!

Sorry Bro, but that is a type of hydrozoan. Still just a filter-feeder, but from a different family. :)

I've got some in my seahorse tank, my tank is < 1 year old. They do spread somewhat, but I haven't seen any negatives yet.

I've read the negatives too, but so far the most damage from them was from my trying to get rid of them.

i have had a few small patches over the years and have seen coral decline from the stinging of them, the best way i have seen to get rid of them is to frag it out of the tank when it pops up. or to nuke the rock its on if you can.
