If it's for a weekend, and you don't have fish that need to be fed multiple times a day, you cna just leave them for the weekend. I feed every couple days anyway, so a weekend is nothing.

They should be ok. I have left mine for 5 days and no ill effects.

plus, I know you have pods in the tank. They will munch on those for sure..

You can get an automatic feeder. I have two Ehaim feeders than can be set to feed up to four times a day. I just mix up a couple different dry foods (different flakes, some pellets, ect) so they get a good mixture. Usually only need to have it feed once a day.

If I ever get the time and energy, I'm going to program some micro controllers to mix food with vitamin supplements in a dish and dump it in... But that's a completely different beast haha.

Anyways, I know some people only feed flakes anyways, so it's ok for the occasional vacation.

One more note: position it so that it hits a turbulent area of the water... I found that the flakes stay on the surface long enough that my timid eaters don't get a chance to get any... The turbulent water makes about 50% of the food drop immediately to give them a chance.
