I couldn't get a decent picture of the algae that bloomed on my glass, but its very conspicuous. I don't think its film algae. They appear in groups as if they were spread by spores. They're attatched to the glass and are skinny and hairlike. I did find a green bubble algae on one of my liverock, but I don't think this algae is bubble algae. Maybe it's bubble algae in the early stages? What should I do.... Would it be safe to run my mag float over them?

I ordered my chaeto which will be in my fuge, and my skimmer is skimming...

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I would indeed just use the mag float to clean it. It is already present in the tank and using the mag float will most likely not contribute to it's spread or development in the tank.

I realize this is an old post but did you ever find out what that algae was or ever get rid of it. I have exactly the same thing you described and was hoping to find out it was something other than green hair algae.
