I love the black clownfish it looks like he has a saddle. As well I love my maroon fish.

I had the Maroon for about 8 months and I got the black about a month ago. As soon as I put them together they paired right up. Its really wierd.

That is unusual for them to pair up so instantly - The maroon must have been female and the black already male and both at sexual maturity.

Perfect timing if you ask me! I hope you have lots of little maroon/black babys!

The black one having a "saddle", thats called "Misbar" when the stripes are not complete. Breeders use to consider that a deformity.

Some places that have seriously inbred fish, sell all kinds of fancy clowns nows that are really genetic deformities but since they have so many of them, they are marketing them with fancy names. Inbred clownfish is where you get Naked clowns, onyx clowns, picasso clowns etc. To each their own on that.

I dont know about raciest but yeah I love them both. I have always liked maroons and ppl told me to stay away from them because they are aggressive. She isn't in one bit agressive especially towards the other clown. Then I learned about the black clowns and found this one at a LFS which I was amazed at, and I picked him up in a heart beat. It was weird as well because none of the other ones had the lil saddle this one does :) I have had many fish but these are my most favorites so far. I can't wait to get them a home. I want one of the magnificant anem's but I have heard they are VERY hard to keep.
