Weird growths on new frag?

    First are these two string anemone looking creatures. The tentacles pick up sand so idk what they could be

    And on the same frag is this big pinecone looking thing.

    First two might be vermetid snails. Do the "tentacles" come out of a hard, shell like tube?

    The last two could be colonial tunicates but the picture is very dark. What do they feel like when you touch them?

    The tentacles look like they come out of a polyp. There isn't any tube. The other growth has a soft texture but the body is firm. Slimy also.

    Might be some type of juvenile lps coral but it's not easy to tell from the picture.

    After having it in hotwater for a few min, the green growth turned orange?

    Having it in hot water! why? you should have just left it...... Wouldnt hot water kill them?

    The pine cone is a bunch of bubble algae Valonia. Just pull it off over the garbage and rinse the frag in tank water.

    I wouldn't dip your corals in hot water it is more likely to kill the coral

    Why in the world would you put your coral in hot water?
