so since i moved i noticed major growth in everything in the tank. one thing i noticed was i have some weird looking tenticle corals growing in my tank. they are purplish in colour on a long thin base. they are growing in a colony as well as some other rocks close by. they only grow on the rocks. i tried to take a picture but none were good enough to even see. since they are in the back of the tank. i have seen them at my local fish store however they dont have them labeled and when i ask them they say they are a "colony of coral" :p:-/

if anyone has any ideas that be great. they seem to move their tentacles on their own.....makes me think of anemonies

thats what i was thinking but im not sure. i guess it would make sence if it was an anemonie considering i swear the first ever one had moved 2 inches on the rock before haha....i just want to make sure im not jumping the gun here.

it has a really long slender foot or stem depending what it is. it doesnt seem to be planted like an anemone foot though.

you can always feed it, if it spreads very fast, you can bet its aptasia, there are many different looking types

whats the best way to get rid of them?
i dont have any corals in my tank so certain fish that eat them are fine by me too.
