I'm brand new to reefs myself, so not sure about this but could he just do a freshwater dip, or a dip into water with lower salinity than the tank/water in the bag to kill these critters?

I don't believe a FW dip would be too good on the coral. My guess would be pods and if the corals been floating for hours I'd just take the risk and put it in as at that point your at risk of losing the coral.

If there's no QT available you really only have 2 choices - put it in the tank or return it. If you googled pods and this looks somewhat like those, I'd go ahead and add it to the tank.

Just as an aside, you can pick up some fairly inexpensive digital cameras these days which would really help with the help ID stuff. I know from personal experience because I've had to ask for ID help too on several occasions. Just something to think about for the future (my 2 cents).

Well i opend the bag and it put in a bucket. I grabbed my zoa and shook gently in the bucket of water where zoa came with. And most of those critters fell and I just grabbed the coral and put it in the tank. There were like 8-10 left over in the bucket which i threw away. The zoa looks all cupped up at the moment, like they are closed instead of open. Is this okay? THis is my very first coral I got.

It probably won't open until tomorrow. Even then, some polyps might not open for several days.
