So a few days ago my female clown started breathing heavy and was very sluggish. But the next day she seemed normal. Then this mornimg I woke up and my male clown was on sand breathing rapidly. Would not eat. And would not swim. He stayed in the same place all day until just now he just started swimming around. Not 100% but better then a few minutes ago haha

Any idea what this could be? No visible signs of anything.

    Very weird.

Did you test the water? Is there any reason the o2 levels could be low?

No reason o2 would be low. Tons of water mixing around in sump. And everything else in tank looks 100% all fish are great all corals are great. Can't get around very easily crashed my motorcycle 2 weeks ago. So did not test because of lack of mobility. But everything else seems fine.

Just wanted to rule it out. Unfortunately without parameters I can't rule that out either. I'm at a loss at this point.
Hope your doing better. Time to have your gf learn how to do a wc. Lol.
Hope someone else can help you out on this.

Yea just seems weird. I think they are just like "we should take turns acting sick to freak him out" lol hopefully that's the case.

And doing better. Road rash is healing up nicely.

I had the very same issue. My male clown started breathing heavy and not acting right. I had changed the flow thinking maybe it was an O2 issue but it turned out to be in his gills and he pasted on. My other clown looked fine till a week later when I noticed him not breathing right. I started to dose with Melfix thinking it was bacterial. I then lost her also. Some other fish in the tank started to show signs of fin/tail rot. Kept dosing the Melfix and everything was cured. Maybe run a course of Melfix just to be safe so you don't come home one day and you clown be on the ground like mine :(

    uh, you sure about that?

I've never used it, or heard of it, so I looked up just one site of reviews on it:

API Melafix Marine 16oz - User reviews

While I understand it's an internet review, and many factors can kill fish, I hope you read at least this one site first
