Weird Yellow Growth on Rocks

    That looks like some sort of diatom once it's out of the tank lights. I look different than my mysterious sponge that I mentioned earlier.

    It looks nothing like the diatoms I've seen anywhere. It also never, ever has bubbles coming from it like is frequently common with diatoms. It also has a definite 3-dimensional structure to it.

    it's weird. I've read that if I pull it out of the water for an hour or so... it'll kill it. So I have had it out and am waiting to see if it works.

    It was base rock. All of it. (From him actually)
    I moved my chaeto from my Biocube to the fuge of the new tank.

    If you take it out of the tank please take an image close to the glass, I am really curious.
