    I posted a few questions on my fish only DT
    I built the stand and set it up in 1991. Just a 75 gallon that has built in undergravel and crushed rock on the back glass and chambers fpr the pipes and power heads. It can not be removed without destroying the tank
    So did a retro fit T-5 kit with blue LEDs from Hamoton,
    Refinished the hood and stand {southern cypress}
    Redid the whole electric and added a new 5" fan in hood but is top loud.
    Got a CRP over flow box, got the Bio balls yesterday and will use a return pump i have.
    It was in the home during Const. So was dirty. Did a clean up, fill and leak test and ran it few days and dumped / vacuum siphoned the water and did a refill. I got lots of stuff out So doing it one more time before fill and salt water even though looks clean. Then will hook the wet dry up and cycle with some cheap Damsels
    It is a major budjet set up and is going to be old school set up I know but bit is better than notta.
    I am very happy with the looks and more important the wife is
    The 2 T-5

    Looks great! The backdrop highlights the minimalist appearance with the coral heads, etc very nicely.

    As for the "old school" technology, it didn't magically stop working just because something newer was developed, and IMO, what's "better" is a matter of personal choice. :)
