Our gramma stopped eating a few days ago. Was never bothered by our clowns and had tons of hiding places. It was hiding for two days and today he was pulled out of the rocks by the hermit crabs who ate his tail off. The fish was still alive! It looked very colorful yet. So after he died a few hours ago, my wife and I did an autopsy and found no signs of illness or worms. The fish looked really healthy. The water parameters are where they should be. We had it for around a month or more.

Possibly bad meat? That's the only time my fish don't want to eat the next day. I've had it happen with shrimp and clams.

    Do you mean shrimp meat?
That's what I'm starting to think. Bad meat.

Yep, shrimp meat. A guy on RC recently had two triggers die in the same day. Hadn't fed them meat for a while, but did the day before. Also, I've noticed that if the food is too big, the fish will not be able to digest it, and will get a blockage. Had that with the Queen trigger. She would slam herself against the overflow. Real hard. Since I started giving her smaller pieces of food, it hasn't happened.
