I am debating a roughly 80% water change to really do damage on the nitrates because 50% changes is going to take time to really get it down low. However I am unsure if I will do more harm than good. I would be matching temp and salinity however I do not test PH so I would really be just hoping for a rough match. Any input would be appreciated.

50% change done, 80% change done. Nitrates now reading 0. The one head of torch is definitely gone, decided to frag the colony up and iodine dip. Hopefully at least some piece of it makes it as I really loved the colony and I am not a big fish or coral killer...

Good to hear your nitrates are back down to zero, sorry for your loss.
