Ok everyone, I'm embarking on a journey that I have always wanted to go on. I'm building myself a frag tank. i have been selling corals left and right to fund the venture because my wife wouldn't let me take money from the bank account :-X. So here we go. (and by the way if you have purchased corals from me on here, thank you so much for everything) Ok my tank is going to be a 75 gallon truvue that used to belong to a really good friend. She upgraded to a 150 so I traded some corals a violah! I got the tank. For lighting, I will be using 2 x 175 watt se mh and will probably use xm 10k bulbs or iwasaki 15k. I really haven't decided that yet. For Filtration I have a 10 gallon tank laying around that I did some test drilling on and it jus so happens that the two holes are perfectly placed for some bulkheads so this is where I will put my RDSB and chaeto for bio filtration since there will be no LR in the system. For a skimmer, I just traded some corals for a brand new PCI PS1000 skimmer. It's not very big but I figure with only having one fish I should be good to go as far as the skimmers ability. Here are some pics so far.

What is the footprint on this? Any reason you didn't go with something wider/shallower?

yep. it was free. =) The footprint is the same as a standard 75. I'm going to build a pretty tall rack to get the corals up close to the surface. Plus space will let me have this

:sweethear. . . free. I'm exited for you. There is nothing like the feeling of giving everything to get something else; unless the something fails and turns out to be crap. What kind of coral will you be fragging/ mothering?

I will be growing several different things. Most of my chalice will be moving from my display to the frag tank. I will be fragging most of my sps to go in there also.
