Thank you very much steve. I'm very excited about this project. I've always wanted to do a frag tank because, I just get tired of cutting corals out of my display tank and making a huge mess of it. I have so much junk sitting on the sandbed right now that it just don't even look pretty. we're gonna fix that though=)

    Congrats!
Just a thought on the lights if your using this strictly for propagation: Have you thought of doing a 10K on one side and a 20K on the other? You could keep the corals under the 10K for the quickest growth, then move them under the 20K to really color up before being photo'd and sent off. Not as ideal as the two separate tanks most use, but would still work.

Thats a great thought PL. I'll have to look into that a little. I am thinking that I may look for the best of both worlds though. I really like the color of the iwasaki 15k bulb and it is the par-master of the 175 watters. These are what I ran on my 150 gallon when I had 175 watt bulbs and they made the true colors of the corals come out nicely. Personally, I don't like taking pictures of corals under 20k bulbs and sending them to someone who is running say.....a 14k and them not get what they were expecting. Something else I have found, the bluer bulbs tend to wash out the blues and purples in most sps. This is why I'm about to change from the sps 14k bulb to the reeflux 12k. I love what the sps does to the greens, reds and oranges but makes the purples look kinda bland. Did any of this jibberish make sense??

I really did nothing with the tank this weekend as I had my national guard this weekend so I didn't have time. I did loosly plumb it a few nights ago and ran the pumps to make sure the overflow was capable of handling the amount of flow that I wanted to put through. I will be putting a ball valve on my return pump and a tee so I can use it for a media filter too. I will be doing some silicone work tomorrow on my sump and possibly getting my ato ready. I will hopefully also be putting the lights in the hood and getting them ready to hang. (I'M SO EXCITED)
