Well put J. I like mine a lot too inspite of paying $90 for a fancy sport bottle. The quality is nice though and it does what it is supposed too.

I will say that I blew mine off for a while (months) when work and social life cranked up. I thought I could run it on just liquid calcium and I was also motivated by a pump crapping out from kalk build up.

But my tank started to look like crap and the coraline faded away. My Montipora Cap didn't grow at all. I also got weird dental floss algae growing all over.

So last week I filled up the dispenser again. Coraline is creeping back and it just seems to look better overall.

Thank You Jason and Matt ;DI found a used one on Ebay I am keeping my eye on :eek:it has the bottle with the hoses the hanging bracket and a spare dosing pump. What do you use in the bottle just liquid calcium like what is in part 2 of B-ionic? or is there something special that you use?

It's made for kalkwasser. Just use that. I use about 1 heaping spoonfull at a time until it's gone. You will need to shake the bottle every few days to mix it up.

    Good luck with the auction!

I have the same unit that you do but haven't set it up yet. What size reservoir are you using?

I can't tell from the pic is your line going directly into the sump or up to the main tank as they reccomend? I was thinking that I would put mine in the overflow. I coulnd't tell for sure but I thought maybe that's where yours was.

I am using a 20 gallon tank for a refugium and I am using a wet/dry filter for a sump I am not sure what size it is but I would guess if it were filled to the top it would hold around 15 gallons. The top off hose is going back into my sump and it seems to be working fine like that :-/ ;)............. John

I think I'd rather mine go to the sump but they seemed to make a big deal about it going to the main tank. I know they said to be sure that the reservoir sits up a bit so that a siphon is'nt created making a mess on the floor.

Cindy just make sure the hose isn't under water and you won't have a back siphon problem ..... John

That makes since. I wonder what their deal is about it going into the main tank? Seems like you'd wind up with a bigger siphon if the tubing got loose in the main tank. It makes better since to me for it to go through the skimmer before going into the tank. Aereate the water and perhaps bring it to a better temp for the main tank.

I agree I think with it going into the sump your RO/DI water will get mixed with the salt water before going back into the tank. Matt / Jason How do you have your return from your top off running?.............  John
