I've got 4 large but not chain stores lined up to go to tomorrow. I REALLY liked the 40 breeder I saw today. I like how deep it is (front to back). If I can find one with a stand I may end up with that. That wouldn't require any upgrades either..

The 40 breeder is an AWESOME tank....Long and low but deep front to back. I agree! I will likely get one as a future tank. Keep in mind that there is also a 50 breeder (which is my current upgrade in the making) 36" X 18 X 18.

Both the 40 and the 50 will fit on the same stand - I am in process of "dressing up" a very affordable black metal Perfecto stand for my 50 breeder.

For a price basis: I live in rochester NY - LFS ordered me the metal stand - 75 bucks, and the tank went for about 120.

Good luck! We will all be shopping vicariously through you today :)

You could lower your water level in the tank to lessen the pressure on the leak. It may stop and this could prevent anything worse from happening until you get transferred. Good luck with everything.

I think the only problem with them if finding a stand..I guess they're not real popular..I'd be more than willing to build one, but my little balcony isn't very suited for woodworking haha. But who knows. I'm going to leave here in a few minutes. Wish me luck!

I have already done so..it's sitting as low as my overflow box can go. It's not leaking, but the plastic frame around the top is showing signs of strain and I just don't want to take any chances.

Well guess what's in the bed of my truck right now.

Brand new 40 breeder with stand and canopy. First place I went had it and for a fairly reasonable price. I have to run by Lowe's and then go get some sand. I'll put pics up as soon as I get it placed.
