So I decided to clean the quartz sleeve on my Aqua Uv filter. Then I apparently put it back together completely wrong, water was shooting out everywhere, and the gfci popped (thank god). I took it apart, dried everything and put it all back together (right this time), but it popped the gfci again. So I don't know if it's a gonner or what. Good times.... good times.

It's alright. When I was cleaning my canister I was being rather forceful, and the hose popped off and siphoned about 2 gallons of water onto my carpet! Haha

I'm sure we've all suffered from wet floor syndrome at least once..at least you know your gfci works!

Sadly, this isn't a wet floor. The internal electrical components (the transformer and associated connections) got way more wet than they are ever supposed to get.

Best bet is to dry it out the best you can. Leave it on the dashboard of your car for a day parked in the sun on a hot sunny day - worked for my old motorola beeper when it got wet inside.

Your best bet is to pack your electonics in dry, white rice. Thats the best solution. The rice absorbs and pulls the moisture from the electronics. I sell cell phones and that works for people all the time. The hot sun might just steam it!

I tried the blow dryer. Next up... kick it off the deck.
