Ok i have a 24 gallon Nano Tank. Tank has been really healthy I went away for work and had someone watch the tank. Well they didn't watch it so good. I lost my Carnation and my Torch Coral. My fish are ok as well as my Toad and my bubble. Now My tank is filled with Green Hair algae. I just checked my levels and changed all my filters. I also had to change my Pump that was shot. I replaced the pump. I am pretty upset about this cause the tank look like crap..
    Levels are
    PH 8.2
    NO2 - 0pm
    N03 10ppm
    Phosphate 1.0ppm
Is there anything I can do? Here are some Crappy pics. Just put some food in the tank so thats whats floating around...

Wow, I am not sure I have seen a pump look like that with so much coverage. You could try a water change to get some parameters looking a little better using RO/DI water. Phosguard might assist. Pulling as much of the algae out as you can. You can introduce some clean up crew that will target your algae type. Add some flow as soon as possible. I am sure there are other things but from the pics that looks pretty bad.

Thanks guys. I am going to pull the power head and clean it off. I did some scraping on the back of the tank but could not remove all the stuff that flew off. I am not feeding that much just looks like alot.. I took the pic right as i dosed the tank.. anything else i can try? Should i give my fist and coral to the fish store and just redo the tank? I really hate to start over. I use RO/DI water for my changes and top offs..

Might want to check your ro/di water to make sure your phosphates are .5 or below. And cut back on the food for awhile.Otherwise you will just feed the algae.

I wouldn't take them in unless you wanted to start over anyway. You are doing the right steps. I think if you follow Kelley11's suggestions you should be OK. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

i would do 5 gallon water changes weakly and clean all filters while at it. run some carbon. try to physically remove as much as you can by hand or whatever you come up with. green hair algae can be sucked up with a turkey baster. if you have some cash laying around invest in a phospate reactor.

cut down on lighting periods. and seriously the feeding. you may not think its much but i can count more mysis/brine in your one pic than i feed on a daily basis.

take out your rocks and scrub them. Get some phosban, and a ro/di water source. Keep the lights on timers for a minimal cycle. Keep water at a cooler temp 75. Do larger water changes. Get some cheato. Good LUCK! This is how i got rid of my algae problems!

+1 overfeeding...to get that level...also check your top off water, it may be loaded with nutrients...once the source water is changed to something more RO/DI do lots of wcs to get it back in line...plus all the manual cleaning mentioned...
