Great catching! :laughings at the truck.

About how deep are you diving? Haven't seen Flame Scallops here in Jupiter and I free dive in 20ft so I'm assuming they are deeper water?

I get my hermit crabs at work. I get so many things at work that its not even funny.

Im not sure if they are in deep waters, but the ones that I can get are right at the shore line. You might get your feet wet at most. Luna

Well Just wanted yo let you guys know I went scuba diving again this past saturday(December 6) and I also brought back a few more things...

No pics yet...(My camera is currently at my aunts house, so as soon as I get it back you will get pics)

Tropical: We brought back a puffer (1-2 inches), a Queen Angelfish (4-5 Inches), 2 coral Banded shrimps, 2 scallops, and an arrow crab. They all went into the 55 gallon tank. The tank is starting to look very nice with all the fish in it.

To eat: We caught 5 Amberjacks and 2 lobsters. The water was COLD!!!

But more importantly, on sunday I got my uncle a 55 gallon tank which will be for a reef. So Ill try to get some of those pics of the process. We do not know yet if its going to be drilled or not since we do not know if it tempered or not, but we do know its going to have a sump. Ill let you know how things are coming along.

Cool stuff especially that angelfish. I went out 2 weeks ago and I agree that the water was a bit cold.

Ive seen cars in the water like that a bunch of times, maybe insurance fraud :cheesy:. I have gone out through crandon a few times but dont like it since there is always a lot of people and you have to pay the toll and the parking so it gets expensive. I usually launch at Watson insland or Matheson Hammocks and pay only the regular $10 parking fee.

Out of curiosity what do work in that youre able to collect? If its personal you dont have to answer:p

If its a Marineland the whole thing is tempered, An AGA/Aqueon only the bottom. You can also tell by looking at it tempered glass because of the heat used in tempering it has ripples in it and Annealed (non Tempered glass) is smoother.

I really have no idea what brand it is, I have not looked closely since I got it on graiglist($30). It did not have any brand name on it from what I recall. All i know is that it did not leak. Also It might be a bit old since the guy that sold it to me also gave me a UV filter from 1978!!!! Free.

When I went 3 weeks ago the water was a lot warmer than on saturday. Where it was really cold was towards the surface...

Luna: I was just curious since Ive seen some posts where you mention collecting critters at work. :yaknow:

Tundra: When I went the water was super cold, after about 30min it was just unbearable.
