The wife and I are trying to find other folks IRL that are doing reef keeping...

Places that are not too far from where we live that we could get with and find out where they are buying from (locally) and possibly share some ideas and such...

So if you are in the Western Part of Arkansas or Eastern Part of Oklahoma, let us know?

    thnkx guys/gals!

Central Arkansas here! Head up to Fayetteville occasionally, the in-laws live there.

I am in Central/western OK and I go to Wichita, but that is probably a good drive for you. They have a real nice selection at a store call Sea Dreams. Very Elegabt tanks and may I add it is the biggest saltwater selection I have ever saw. It is 2 hrs for me so pronbbaly 4.5 or more for u.

Oh by the way I have found that Liveaquaria.com might be the best bet for people like us to have a better selection. There shipping is like 35 but there stuff is guranteed for 14 days and some are 30 days. My LFS does not guarantee anything for saltwater.

Have you joined Razorback Reef? If not, do it NOW!!! If for nothing else, I get between 15 and 20 percent discounts on livestock in all the LFS in Central Arkansas. I'm not sure if Exotic Tropicals or Worlds Under Water give discounts to members or not but it wouldn't hurt to ask.

We also hold fragging workshops once a quarter, the cost is $20 and you get to keep a minimum of 3 frags. I got 5 last time because we auctioned off the leftovers.

It's $25 a person for a one year membership or $40 for a family membership. It's definitely paid off in the discounts though (when I remember to ask for it).

Can you PM me some info about them?
I'm up here in Springdale and there are literally only two places I goto and one of them is in Rogers and the guy charges wayyyyy too much. I found a nice place out in Centerton called "salt water depot" and the guys who run it are super nice and have worked with my wife and I on every aspect of this hobby. The guy in Rogers, actually tried to sell me clowns for 45 each when the guy down at the depot had them for 13. anywho...

lemme know about that razorback stuff, for my wife alone - it would be worth it!

If you want to drive to Oklahoma City, there is a great store just off the turnpike in. The owner of the store is Leigh Anne and is awesome! She has a wide variety of fish and corals every week and is open on Saturday and Sundays if you want to make the drive down. The website is not complete, but it is Aquariums Tropical Fish & Supply and has the address and phone number there.
