Thank you everyone for the warm welcome! I plan to have a reef tank!

My question is I have a ehopps wet/dry trickle system 75g and a RIO+ Aqua Pump 2500 for my 75g and I am wondering If this will be fine to set up in my tank!

    Thank you

That's fine. You'll want to make sure you clean your filter pads often so that detritus doesn't rot in them

Hey thank You, I was also told to take out the bio balls and put a piece of live rock instead is this true? Should I take out the filter pad or leave it in their also?

    Thank You

Wow.....this rumor is because people believe anything they read. First bioballs were a nitrate factory because they produced nitrates. True, that is what they are SUPPOSED TO DO, get rid of the Ammonia and Nitrites. Since LR in a tank is able to perform some De-Nitrification, people (wrongly) thought that if they removed the bioballs and replaced them with Live Rock then they will have solved the problem of creating Nitrates. Well, that's just not true. Putting LR rubble in the place of bioballs means you have just chosen very expensive bioballs that are made of Calcium Carbonate instead of plastic.

Definitely leave the filter pad in. They are cheap, buy a few more. Then you can easily swap one out every several days and get to cleaning the old one at your leisure.
