wet dry sump question...

    So I'm currently setting up a 75 gallon tank with an acrylic wet dry sump. But id like to add more water to my system and is like to put a bubble trap between my protein skimmer and my return has anyone ever put a manufacturered sump into an aquarium to add more space ?

    Put the sump inside an aquarium and have the whole thing serve as the sump?
