i been using a wet/dry sump which comes with bio balls

i remove the bio balls reading on the forums how it could be bad for your tank

but i been using square sheet of filter which sits on top of the wet/dry sump and was wondering if i could just get a micron sock to replace the square filter that i change out every two weeks

would the micron sock be better?

the sock will do the trick but will need to be cleaned weekly at a minimum, most people use several and just swap them out every few days.

to clean just run them thru the washing machine with a bit of bleach, NO Detergent!
let them air dry for a day before use
