    i put my uv sterilizer in my sump instead of my dt. is that ok?

    I'm not very knowledgeable on uv sterilizers but the ones I've always seen have been of the " in line " style. Meaning it goes inline on the return line, OR on the drain line OR, even in a seperate loop, usually into the sump.
    But I did see a small hang-on sterilizer at a LFS that was on a display tank...
    As long as the plumbing for the unit is done properly, I don't really think it matters. But if you have a sump, why not keep it out of sight and use that.
