It feels like forever. But our tank has crossed the 6 month mark. We've had quite alot of memories with it in that small time, with 2 fish jumping (one just two days ago when I was out of town), and my mom has gone coral crazy.

Believe it or not, this young, and that many coral in it, with the added refugium in the bottom our parameters have been perfect. Enjoy.

Tank born on November 21 2008. It actually turned 6 months while I was out of town, but I got back today and decided to snap some pics and put up a thread anyways. All pics taken from this evening.

Very nice! Is that a Dendro in the 4th pic down? Also, what size tank is that again?

Haha thanks Rob. Orlando was fun...and I get back to 3Reef and there was around 3,000 new posts or something. ::) And if you mean ditch the net for a towel, than yes, I did help redesign it :D Personally I still like the idea of night time egg crate. But she wants me to build her a canopy...I refuse to do that with just a hand saw. :p

Yep, that's my mom's pride and joy dendro. That giant carrot looking thing on the left is an orange tree sponge she ordered. It was supposed to be 4 inches long...yeah that 4 inches didn't work out too well haha.

The tank is a 46 gallon bowfront with 40 pounds of sand and around 70 pounds of rock. Some of that rock is still base from recent purchases and from when we put the fuge in, but we probably have around 55 or 60 pounds of LR in her right now. 3 Koralia number ones for flow. Reef Octo skimmer, 2 little fishes Phosphate reactor, along with 5 mangroves, a wad of flame algae or whatever that stuff is, a ball of chaeto that has vanished somewhere in there, and some sea lettuce.

For critters in the display tank, we have:
    -2 O. Clowns
    -Molly Miller Blenny
    -Six Line Wrasse
-Yellow Watchman Goby paired with Tiger Pistol Shrimp
    -2 Pep. Shrimp
    -Skunk Cleaner Shrimp
    -Brittle Star
    -Harlequin Serpent Star
-and a CUC of nassarius snails, banded trochus snails, cerith snails, and blue leg hermits running around everywhere.

    For corals we have:
-6 different types of zoanthids including some big pink/red ones that started out as 3 heads and now have 27 heads in 3 different locations in the tank (grows like a coral weed), armor of God, Eagle Eye, and more
    -Purple Tip Hammer Coral
    -Birds nest
    -Blue tipped acro
-two pulsing xenia colonies that reproduce like rabbits
-a very bright yellow colony of Green Star Polyps (only the tips are yellow, but it looks great)
    -Dendro
-some other stuff my mom put in yesterday and I have no clue what it is
-Feather Duster (not a coral, I know)
-TONS of Ricordia Shrooms and other shrooms

And I think that's it...oh and two emerald crabs that are doing quite a good job. :D

Haha it's our "Frag tank". Or it was. The yellow GSP on the tip of the barrel on top made the tank look like it was firing off a round. It looked really cool. Now the coral is taking over, and it will look really cool completely covered in it.

Good job on the pics, son! Thanks guys! It's been a fun six months.

We're still working on a cover. I had ideas for a canopy, but Jwin said no. :( Of course, I wanted him to build it and I would just tell him what to do! We're probably going back to the egg crate idea - I guess that would be the easiest thing.
