Quick question. Im building a sump for a 90 right now and i like the way yours is set up. i may copy it. but do you have any mechanical filtration in there? maybe something im not seeing. thanks

no i dont, just skimmer. i do have a carbon and GFO reactor. i took all the mechanical filtration off my 55. and was getting good results. so i decided to keep it that way for the 90

clean-up crew reinforcements came in today from reef cleaners. just in time. the diatom bloom seems to be slowing down. hopefully they can polish the rest off. love the extras too:)

also put the MP40 in. very cool:

-makes a pretty good wave, esp with both rock formations. auto tune is pretty cool

-it is kinda loud, but i was prepared. not as bad i though it was going to be.

-set up was easy, but i miss the days that things came with actual manuals. not just a "quick-set up guide" and a web address for a PDF file

-tank looks so much cleaner with just the vortech in. hopefully i wont have to add a koralia back in. there is only one spot i am kinda worried about. (far corner)

[STRIKE]i'll get some pics tmmr[/STRIKE]. -added some pictures before/after

    hey wfb nice aquarium!!
I have that same type of algae as you with the bubbles in it.. Is it caused by micro bubbles? damn it looks exactly like that..

thanks, i am pretty sure its just diatoms. it blows right off. it should go away once the silicates are gone from the new plastic. i am pretty sure the bubbles are some sort of gas exchage going on with the diatoms not sure though. it could just be they get caught up in the algae.
