Phoenix, I didn't know you were from the UK either!

I believe the seller specifies he's RATHER have it collected, but would mail it at your own risk. Infact, a prospective buyer asked about heat packs for delivery and the seller replies that he'd send it with a 12 hour heat pack.

Funny as it sounds, a worm might be the ideal candidate for shipment, as its soft parts would likely be retracted for much of the trip. On the other hand, if the tube is hard, rather than leathery, it's at risk of breakage.

I don't know. I'd want that worm too!!

Good luck whatever you choose to do.

I've been googling since my post, and it seems it is a type of starfish rather than worm. I found a drawing in which the fastening apparatus of an echinoderm are visible. So it seems there's no tube into which this animal can retract. However, if it's more like a starfish than a worm, maybe it's less fragile?

The seller states he's selling it for a friend, so it may or may not be worthwhile asking that source.
