Perfect example of what's wrong with society. You're all praising him for knowingly taking advantage of a store's mistake.

What happened to everyone's moral compass? Everything's about "me" when it should be about "we".

So dramatic. Obviously the store didn't have a problem with it because they sold it to him. It not like he beat up your little cousin and stole the nem out of his tank.

I think most people were happy he went out on his birthday and got a good deal. Take a deep breath and count to five.

+1 nothing at all wrong with what he did. Now if the cashier gave him back a $20 bill instead of a $1, that is when morals come into play ;) Think of it this way, if the OP had no idea the nem was worth more, they would have bought it just the same not knowing the difference.

On a somewhat related note, a couple months ago I was in my LFS. They had two tanks next to eachother, one with a Labout's Fairy and the other with a Rhomboidalis Fairy. Someone had switched the labels, so the Labout's had a $450 tag, and the Rhomboidalis had a $250 tag. At the time I did not have a tank large enough to house either, so I brought it up to an employee's attention (they had no idea which was which) and they swapped tags back. Now, if this happened now when I have a tank large enough for a Rhomboidalis, I honestly don't know if temptation would have taken over...

I bought a blonde Naso for 24 bucks onetime. They normally go for 40 and up. I didn't feel bad. A lot of this hobby is way over priced.

Matty1551- Maybe, now just maybe, you should read the post in its entirety before replying. I did point it out to the staff. However, I wanted it and it was incorrectly labeled so the guy gave it to me for that price. Have you ever been to a larger store where if they mess up they will deal with their loss?(most retailers do this) This is one of those stores. So this is not what is wrong with society. Its what is right with a society. A store made a mistake and to keep it's customers happy, it honored its mistake. And guess what Ill be a customer at this store again.

Everyone else, I came home last night to a fully inflated anemone BUT he was on the back side of my rocks so it was not a picture worthy moment. He also got photo shy after I started trying to take pictures and deflated. Here is the only picture I could get. Its behind the pink birds nest.

    More pictures to come soon.

It's called offer and acceptance it's the very basis of contract Law.
Seller offers for $x buyer agrees to price and purchases - contract formed.

Now there are those who believe that the seller has a greater knowledge (or should) than the buyer, so therefore the seller is in a better position than the buyer. (I am one of those people)

    I see no foul.

    "play on"

And well done to you Sir.

Matty normally I would agree with you and do feel we have lost some of our "manners". If you read the O.P.'s original POST it seems he brought the discrepancy to the attention of the LFS and they sold it to him anyway. Most places will honor the listed price regardless if it is a mistake or not. There is nothing wrong with getting a good deal as long as its done properly IMO.;)

Edit:Too slow just switched to decaf.lol
Nice anemone good luck with it.
