what a great contest by a LFS

One of my LFS is doing a weekly contest called Fragtastic football on facebook. What they are doing is posting pictures of various corals, fish, inverts etc and the first person who names it gets 10 yards. The first person who gets 100 yards wins. Last week it was a 50.00 gift certificate, this week i am not sure, but he said he would keep going up in value.

The contest in its first week got over 100 likes on facebook alone. Plus it is very educational. There is the typical imperator angel, etc. but just now was jenneria pustulata ake jenners cowrie.

So not only is the store getting a lot of followers on facebook, it is really teaching people the hobby. They will give extra points for care of certain animals etc.

I didnt win last week however i was close enough that he gave me a 10.00 certificate for being so close down to the wire. It is very fun (and no it is not the store i used to work for.....even though they are wooing me for a spot there!)

That is a great idea I wish some of lfs would do something like that.

round 2 is over and I won this round. $50.00 gift certificate for us to use at the store!!!!
Comes at a perfect time........we are getting ready to reset up our 120g tank again probably this weekend!

Some of the answers this round were:
lineatus fairy wrasse, asfur angel, flashlight fish (they only showed the eyeball of it), barreleye fish (they thought that nobody would get this one but i got it in like 3 seconds.......thanks to blue planet), Sphaerella (christmas tree coral...had to have sci name), jenners cowrie, shield urchin...just to name a few.
