Good thing about the Hanna Checker is the ease. 10 ml of tank water, 1 ml of reagent- every time.

anyways I am by no means going to sit here and tell the Queen of SPS how to run a tank. When I have 1 as nice as 1 of hers maybe I would have more to say

For what its worth I love Hanna and get results that match very close with lab tests. I recommend people read and follow the directions exactly however. Particularly with phosphate, sloppy testing will mess with your results.

I agree with the Hanna as well. I use them and also bring my water up to my buddy who is a local wholesaler and he tests with his kits and we are almost dead on matches.

Seriously the best piece of equipment I've ever had. Well worth the cash.

I still like Salifert of Alk & Ca. Quick, simple and reliable. Plus, the Alk always has a control solution included you can cross check if you feel the reagent is somehow "off". Or if you don't trust yourself. :)

Oh your tanks are really nice. Sps is my passion so I tend to obsess over them. Trust me I am still looking for STN and remembering how frustrating it was to watch sps loose tissue. I got a lot to learn for sure.

    Good to know. ;)

Ok another Hanna vote, much appreciated.

Sounds like Hanna it is. Well that certainly helped to guide me in the right direction, mucho appreciated everyone.

    Todays haul.

    Montipora Setosa.
    Montipora Digitata Red/Orange.
    Goniopora/Green (yea I know)
    Favia, Christmas.
    Favia unknown or something similar.
Lastly some Zoanthids that I thought had potential.

Everything is opening up very nicely. Water chemistry is a go.

Had a lighting storm today for the 1st time in the tank very very cool.

The Goniopora opening nicely, it looks freshly cut, but I was more concerned about avoiding pest then the fresh cut so I took a chance. I have kept them in the past once successfully and once not so much.

    Group shot:

    Left side
    1. Red Digitata up in the rock.
    2. Zoanthid/Blue mid rock.
    3. Goniopora foreground.
    4. Purple Digitata large in sand.

    Right.
    1, Acropora solitaryensis up high.
    2. Montipora Setosa.
    3. Favia, Christmas Tree.
    4. Not quite certain on this one. Favia perhaps.

All corals open and looking good.
