Have you given any thought to turning your light 90°? I know you mentioned earlier that the thread that the way the mount is setup is why it's like that. But you might get away from that bright spot in the middle.

Do you know what the light has for optics?

    Hey Zesty,

That is the way the light will go as soon as I see my welder to finish the rack for both the Hydra and the ATI. Both fixtures will go up another 6-8 inches, I really do not care about the spill over.

Not sure about the optic, you kids and your jargon....It's a Hydra on acclimation mode.

I have seen some awesome tanks under the fixture so I am sure it will do what I want sps wise once I figure it out. RC has a huge thread on setting for this fixture, it just a matter of absorbing all the information.

There is just so much to learn. Next I will also get the director.

No because the white is pretty blinding. The white and UV are tuned down low, blues are at 60%.

Thank you guys, this is the kind of honest input I need.

Who does not like images of skim-mate right? There are only corals in the tank, where does this stuff come from?

So I am honestly torn on the LED, my corals have paled and the light is only running at 20%. What I will say is that I have never had sps grow so fast. Sure I can color them back up. Once I get some fish in the tank and start feeding and the corals are finally acclimated hopefully I will get more coloration, or else we are changing it up again.

Ordered some Geisemann Bulbs for the ATI fixture. I liked Adam's video from Battlecorals so I am going to give the Giesemann a try versus ATI.

Tank as been up and running 44 days now, GHA tuffs starting on the back wall, time to get some snails. Woke up this am to Copepods every where and I mean every where.

The Red Montipora Digitata is sprouting new branches. Acropora solitaryensis has a bunch of new tips.

Time to order the pink clowns. LA has them under the ORA category.
