Still on the Acropower kick here, probably coming up on a year now. Once I started it daily, I chased Alk pretty bad. Consumption went up a little over 30%, so it certainly made something grow faster in my tank. No real cyano issues with it for me; I do 6ml/day (automated - once per day at the start of the photo-period) for my ~190 gallons.

A couple other locals use it with equally good results too, and have been on it a while.

Also using Acropower but only dosing 1 time a week 7ml.. Things seem happy. May have to add another day in based on your comment

I think you will like it Corailline

I do not name my stuff. But I think King is a good name, he is large and might keep the small clowns in line with a name like King right. Plus right now he is king of the tank.

What are the thoughts on placing acropower in a top off?

Say your top of runs dry every 4 days and you dose 5 ml a day. What would the negatives be to adding 20 ml to your top off and providing small amounts of amino throughout the day making it available more frequently?

T5 soon, I need to get the time and get together with a friend. Put it up the other day to test the new bulbs, the fixture definitely takes care of the spot light effect and the shading of the LED.

I used to dose Brightwell Amino Acids I also experienced a Dinoflagellate bloom that lasted 3 months. I am proceeding very cautiously, I do not know if the Amino Acids played any part in the bloom.

Yeah, T5s really mellow out the spot lighting and overall provides better color. I lived my led and t5 combo, I didn't like the LED alone.

I wish the light had better spread, I am figuring out how to get the 14k look.

My acropora and digitata are growing at an amazing rate though under a whiter setting, which does not produce the best coloration. I am trying to find the balance. I have never had sps grow so fast.
