I don't have a good camera. I think my phone is better than the point and shoot I have.

Your tank looks great, Cheryl! Very pretty!

If only.!!!!!!:p I feel like a newbie each and every day.

    Thanks Magnus.

I am seriously considering get a new camera, at least not a point and shoot.

    Thank you. :)

There is a Pink Skunk Clown in the back compartment. For some reason both clowns jumped and jumped and jumped in the back sump, so that is where the one remaining clown stays, she is happy.

A large Domino Damsel surveys his kingdom up front while residing in the large Haddoni Carpet Anemone.

Best laid plans did not see fruition.

So very lightly stocked with fish? I think that's a good stratagy for keeping down the nutrients. How much dosing do you have to do? Seems like Ca and Alk would be hard to keep up with.

No detectable nitrates or phosphates so every time I try to raise the alk about 8 my sps frown/burn tips.

Two part dosing was not working, my pH was low, my Ca high and my alk bouncing all over, soooooo I now use kalk in the ATO with much better results. I dose buffer every other day but a very small amount to stay around 7.5.

I will move to 3 part with dosing pumps once demand gets too high manage with kalk in the ATO.

Long story short, tank is still too young to avoid chemistry swings, I am getting there though.

Thank you for stopping by, it's nice to see you. ;)

So there is a limit to how much kalc will keep it steady? Limited by how much saturation in the top off? Too bad. Sounds like kalc is the perfect combo. Thanks for the welcome back. I've been busy trying to manage other fragments of my life.

Hit the 4 month mark on the 24th. Trust me when I say regardless of your experience level establishing and stocking a new tank has it's up and downs, frustrating downs. Algae issue still present, better but still present, will move to GFO this week. Urchin eats the turf algae but not fast enough.

Urchin decided last night to take a walk with the guard to the nanowave, woke up to water and the Urchin wearing the guard ugggggggggg. Which means the ATO was doing double time ugggggg again.

pH is much better, chemistry stable (knock on wood). Most sps doing well some still struggling after the pH and alk issues.

Loving my Zoanthids. Glued all but two down yesterday. Glued them to the dead Maxima shell, when they all grow in it will work out well, one of my few better decisions. LOVE RASTAS.......

Love my Haddoni and Domino Damsel as well, such character. He will defend that anemone with his life. Sorry had to share some images of them again.

Getting a Borealis and a Plum Crazy from ORA on Tues, I have been very happy with ORA corals and inverts.
