I'll be honest, I've heard of the Pohl's/ZEOvit stuff, but I know very little.

I have seen this reactor, I know you said you were going to run media...

I may have to wander over to MD and pick up a bottle of the sponge power, though. You've got me interested and I'm almost to the end of my acropower. :eek:o_O

I have the AcroPower, Sponge power is better. I will however still use Acropora Power once weekly and probably not dose the Sponge Power on the day I dose the Acro.

Because I do not test for Strontium or Lugols, I use very low doses once a week as well. Every Tuesday.

I am going for low nutrient, color and growth, stop me now!!!!

    Oh think little tiny reactor.

I have that reactor, but in the 4L version. It is a beast! I'm going full Zeo once the 250 is cycled. I've been using Sponge Power, Pohl's Xtra, Coral Snow K-Balance Strong, and Coral Vitalizer for a while. I never saw any improvements with the Macro Elements product or Coral Booster. Discontinued those two, but I have lots of the other stuff. I have to dose damn near one of the Nano bottles a week in the 250 system (~310 TWV)! :p

That reactor does look nice, especially when you automate vibe with a controller. Does zeolith benefit from recirculating, and does it make sense to build recirc loop for this?

    Strictly the Korallen-Zucht Zeovit products..

I can not even imaging the cost of maintenance on 250 for zeovit products. You going to go full Potassium testing? Have you thought about the Balling Method?

You can use the stones passively but you get better results with a reactor set up.

Yeah that is one I have looked at. Looking for a low profile. My skimmer barely sticks up out of the back compartments.

Ya know what is awesome, sitting here watching my tank in storm LED mode and water on reef crest mode. Only cost me a little less than $1000.00 bucks to pull that off.

No, what I meant is some people who run biopellets, run a closed loop pump that provides high flow for biopellets to properly tumble. But none of that goes in or out from the tank/sump. Then there's additional hose and possible feed pump to move water from tank to the closed loop reactor. This way u have proper high flow for pellets, but a greatly reduced flow from/to tank, allowing for media to have longer contact with water before returning to tank.

    I know the feeling.

You are sumpless, yes? The reactor i built would probably only work in sump. How much space do you have to work with for a reactor? I can see what I can come up with if you like.
