    What a nice fish(New Addition)

I have purchased a Blue Throat Trigger along with a Yellow watchman goby and a Percula Clown . I like all the fish , But the trigger is the most personable addition so far. I,m sweating it out because along with the fish I added about 25 lbs of dry live rock and I,m worried about having the tank cycle. Its been over two weeks since the addition of fish and rock, and all seems well.
Just giving a update of the progress of my goal to having a reef tank:smile:

Very cool I've often thought of getting a Blue throat. Do you have any Pics.

If the rock was dry it should not cycle, but you may find a hair algae outbreak occurs on the new rock

I love triggers, they have such a unique look to them and they are truly a beautiful fish. Will a trigger eat a goby or a clown?

Of all the Triggers the Blue Troat is the only one that is supposed to be reef safe. From what I heard, you have to be careful when adding shrimp.
No trouble so far with what I have mixed , hope it stays that way:goldfish:

Very nice purchase. I would still be careful adding coral to the tank. Make sure he stays full.:)

Cool additions! The Blue-Throat is a beautiful Trigger which is very well mannered and reef safe as far as triggers go. Just keep an eye out for it but I don't forsee you having any problems!

True Niger Triggers are reef safe as are the blue throats I've never heard or had an issue with them just to large and messy for a reef of mine . Eating messing machines .. I tell you what !
But there is another one also that I can't recall right off that is O.K with a reef also . Now the other Black trigger will eat a reef! It has to be a Niger Not the black trigger or the Red sea Niger also a bad idea But I think the other safe one is the blue line or cross hatch ? I'll make sure of this one later on today. As I said I have kept them with corals . They just produce to much byproduct from all they eat for me contend with.

Every animal I add has a job to do I never add one for just looks :) But remember its a trigger and they are by nature aggressive and carnivores all of them.. So if it ever bites you you know it was a snake LOL they don't read the literature about themselves
