I currently have a power head in my tank for water flow purposes. When I switch to a sump system, this powerhead will serve as my return to tank pump. Will I need to get another powerhead in my tank after? Or will the water flow be sufficient just from the sump system?

water flow, water flow, water flow. you want chaotic, random water movement in your tank. the more the better to a degree> you can have too much but most people dont have enough. you want non-point source jets that can move a lot of water but not like a fire hose with a nozzle, more like an open hose to create as little dead spots in your tank as possible.

You also need to consider how much live rock, placement, obstructions, etc. will block wave action/water flow. best to test and see how each of your animals will handle your new flow.
