Bought these as photosynthetic gorgonions from the caribbean. Supposed to be much easier to care for than there nonphotosynthetic cousins. Not sure exactly w hat they are but the one is huge!! I cut off some dead branches and new tissues has already covered up any wounds within a week.

Large purple one with tiny whtie polyps that look like tufts. Seems to be out almost 24/7. Very colorful!

This one has purple skin with larger tannish colored polyps. Was out constantly but since I moved it they onyl come out when I load up the WC with food. THinking I need to move it again and fidn a good place.

A picture of the 2 right atfer purchase and not yet placed in the tank. The one purple one is so large Im not sure what to do with it!!

Got them for both for $85. Figured I would add soem diversity to the tank. The first picture are branches I clipped off of the large purplecolony due to there beign dead tissue. After trimming both the mother colony and frags are doing great

good pickups. Look at aquascapers.com eco gorgs. They have the scientific names. As for care they are all pretty much moderate light moderate flow. Do not kee with eunice worms lol. I have 8 species of gorgs from around the world, only one non-photosynthetic
